Going And Being Places Using 에

How to say you're going somewhere in Korean

In this lesson we’re going to learn about another particle, .

에 attaches after a noun to mark that noun as a location that someone is going to, or where something is.

에 can pair with a verb we’ve learned, 가다 (to go):

하루는 서울 가요

Haru goes to Seoul

저는 집 가고 싶어요

I want to go home

저는 공원 가고 싶어요

I want to go to the park

에 can also pair with the verb 있다 (to exist) to say where someone or something is.

저는 집 있어요

I exist at home (I am home)

저는 영화관 있어요

I am at the movie theater
